"I need a family"

Devan lost his mother to illness when he was just 9 years old. With no one to care for him, he was placed into a group home, where he remained for five years.

​

Then came along Laird and Angela of California, who met Devan at church. When Laird asked Devan what he was praying for, Devan answered, “I need a family.” After a month-long discussion, Laird, Angela and their children decided to pursue Devan’s adoption.
